The governorship candidate of the Young Progressives Party in Imo state, Linus Okorie, has identified poor leadership as the major problem in the state.
Okorie who spoke in Owerri the state capital on Wednesday on the visit of the YPP presidential candidate, Prof Kingsley Moghalu, to the state on Saturday alleged that the governance system of the state was “terribly bad.”
According to him, YPP represents a new Nigeria with great potential where the youths will take their destinies in their hands and achieve their dreams.
Okorie said that YPP was going to cause a big political upset in Nigeria on February 16 and in Imo on March 2.
He said, “Prof Kingsley Moghalu is the kind of president Nigeria needs at this time. He will be in Imo on February 9 to share his dreams and plans for a new Nigeria where vision and ideas work.
“We are bringing on board a new Nigeria and Imo State with endless opportunities. We have come to change the old order and revive our political system.
“The biggest problem we have is that we don’t have leadership built on honesty, integrity, good character and focus. YPP will upturn the political arrangement both in Imo State and at the national level. The people want credibility and not a recycling of the old politicians.”
