President Buhari today gave an order to the security chiefs to put their acts together and deal ruthlessly with bandits, kidnappers and other security challenges threatening the peace of the nation.
The Chief of Defence Staff, Gabriel Olonisakin, disclosed this to state house correspondents after a two-hour meeting between President Buhari and other service chiefs at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Olonisakin said that President Buhari ordered that no stone should be left unturned towards securing every part of the country.
”We have the marching order to deal with this issues immediately and ruthlessly and ensure that all those bandits are immediately dealt with and all those issues that are bordering with our security are properly addressed.”
The Acting Inspector-General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu, who spoke to newsmen as well, said after confrontation with bandits and kidnappers at Abuja/Kaduna road, the road has been cleared and the road safe.
Last weekend, President Buhari described as ”ridiculous and unfair” for anyone to suggest that he is not concerned about the activities of armed bandits in Zamfara state. He cut his trip to Dubai yesterday after there were reports of fresh attacks in Kaduna state.
