What God did during Nigeria elections – Oyedepo

President of the Living Faith Church worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, on Friday, said God saved Nigerians during the 2019 election.

He lamented that the exercise which should have been a normal electoral process turned out to be a battle nationwide.
Oyedepo stated this at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, during a thanksgiving event to mark the re-election of Governor Udom Emmanuel.

Oyedepo, who was the guest preacher, thanked God for Emmanuel’s victory at the polls.

“If you don’t regard or acknowledge the grace of God, you will end up in disgrace. That is why the Governor has come to acknowledge God for his victory”, he noted.

He declared that Akwa-Ibom had become new and a state of peace and prosperity.
Drawing from the book of psalm, he said God saved the state from being consumed by the plans of evil people.

The popular cleric said the Holy Bible said the people must give thanks to God always and on time lest “your feet turns upon the mountain of darkness.”

He said God sees it as an act of pride if one does not acknowledge God on time “for His blessings and goodness upon them”.

The event had in attendance many dignitaries, including the ex-Anambra Governor and Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Peter Obi, other ex-governors including that of Benue state, Gabriel Suswam, PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus and National Assembly members.

Others were newly elected and serving members of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, traditional rulers and state Chief Judge.
