Thomas Tuchel confirms he’s taking highly rated Chelsea coach to Bayern

Newly appointed Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has confirmed he wants to take along with him highly rated Chelsea coach Anthony Barry.

The former Chelsea boss returned to management this week after he was unveiled at the German champions Bayern.

Tuchel replaced Julian Nagelsmann as Bayern boss on Thursday evening and will immediately set about ensuring the Bundesliga side’s season ends with a major trophy haul.

Tuchel and Barry were together at Stamford Bridge and he will take steps to recruit the highly-rated coach this week.

“My coaching staff wasn’t prepared either, so a big thank you to their families for their flexibility,” he told his press conference on Saturday.

“Arno Michels and Zsolt Low, who have been working with me for over ten years, will be there. We’re hoping to add Anthony Barry, who is currently at Chelsea.”
