Prayers alone cannot solve Nigeria’s problems – Cleric

The President, High Tower Ministry, Lagos, Prophet Rufus Ikotun, has said there was the need for Nigerians to add hard work to their prayers, saying prayers alone could not save the country from the myriads of challenges facing it.

Ikotun at a press briefing organised in Lagos to announce activities for the 10th anniversary of his ministry said Nigerians needed to work harder and pray less.

“For you to make things work, pray as if no one can help you, then work as if prayer cannot help you. I tell people, as powerful as God is, he cannot multiply zero. No matter how small it is, you need to do something,” Ikotun said.

The cleric added that some of the challenges facing Nigeria is about the people waiting for the government to do everything for them.

He said some of the programmes lined up to mark the anniversary which starts on September 2 were workers conference, revival, women conference, praise night, anniversary Sunday which holds on September 22.
