Barr Willie Amadi Eulogizing Chief Charles Orie

In a Clear shift from previous years’ Celebratory style, Chief Charles Orie, pulled loved ones to the “Shell Camp Orphanage home” to celebrate his birthday in the presence of the orphans who called him “Daddy”.

Hon Charles Orie (Chibet), the MD/CEO of ISOPADEC – Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Corporation was heavily

Celebrated by friends and well wishers at his birthday celebration in Owerri on Saturday, January 28, 2023.

This unique event was celebrated at the grounds of “Shell Camp Orphanage home” where orphans, Clergymen, clergywomen, friends, associates and loved ones took turns praying for Chief Orie to enjoy a long life that’s filled with sound health, love, peace, tranquility, wealth, the love and fear of God, amongst many other wishes.

It was attended by various people from various areas of endeavor; from the clergy to business people. From the high and mighty in the society to the less privileged. From the Mouthpieces of the people to the Voiceless amongst the people, it was well attended, elucidating further, one of the many unique personal qualities of Charles’s – his ability to ‘roll’ with anybody, no matter how highly or lowly placed, in the society.

Ajụzieogu Lodge Proprietor, Barrister Willie Amadi (‘Ụkwa Achị Aka, ‘Omeudo’ na Owerri & Technical Director to the Governor Of Imo State On Environment Matters) greatly eulogized Chief Orie to the amazement of celebrating guests. He said,

“Chief Charles Orie, You are an Enigma. Chief Charles Orie, you are a man with the heart of gold. Chief Charles Orie, You’re a very humble human being. Chief Charles Orie, You see your fellow human being as equal. Chief Charles Orie, You don’t hurt people. Chief Charles Orie, You suffer every sacrifice to make sure that even those who feel downtrodden feel that they’re human beings before you.  Chief Charles Orie, You borrow money to send money to people you have promised to help. Chief Charles Orie, You give your last money (even when your children want you to give them money) to those people whom you think have no hope. Chief Charles Orie, For so many years of your life, you have touched people’s lives without conditions. Chief Charles Orie, You don’t have respect for money. Money respects you. Chief Charles Orie, You use money to make people believe in God. Chief Charles Orie, You are God’s agent on earth…..”.

Hon Cosmos Maduba (Ọdọebube Isu) remarked, “Charles has demonstrated a new dimension to celebrating birthdays by bringing the Celebration to an orphanage home. Many of us have been challenged and moving forward, we would all be doing differently and better”.

We4We Media’s CEO, Val ‘Frakas Mo’Fire’ Amadi, speaking at the event, said, “Charles Orie is a very unique personality and for many years, has been known for his consistency in building and helping build others, even when he doesn’t ‘have it all’ and that’s a quality that many of the people here can testify to. Even whenever he would visit us in New York, he would touch the lives of several people (Some of them he never even met before) in various ways. Many a times, he would assist with resources but most importantly, with his ‘listening ears’. He never fails to listen to people and would always try his best to profer solutions to people’s problems”.

Owerri Municipal Council Mayor Emeritus, Hon Alexander “Alex Kay” Ojiri, at the event, said, “Charlie is the type that would always make sure his friends are comfortable. He’s got a heart of gold and such a person is hard to come by. He’s indeed a great fellow..”

Nollywood/Hollywood superstar and Imo State Governor’s S.A on Entertainment, King Bobby Michaels, Hon Eric Uwakwe (SA to the Governor on Youth Affairs) were well represented. Imo State’s S.A on Special Duties, Nze Chinasa Nwaneri was equally there to celebrate with Chief Orie.
