Igwe Nkem Onumara honored by Newark New Jersey and N.I.D.O

Newark Mayor, Ras Baraka, the City Council cebrate with Nigerians In the Diaspora Organizations (N.I.D.O) and Diaspora Africans.

 

 


 

The City of Newark, New Jersey, USA and N.I.D.O (Nigerians In Diaspora Organization) confered upon Igwe Nkem Onumara a Community Service Recognition Award on 5he 20th of October 2022 at a well attended ceremony by the City hall Rotunda in Newark, New Jersey. Igwe Nkem Onumara is the founding Igwe of Ọdịnma Anaedo, an Igbo Social club in the diaspora. He  is also the president of Igbo Solidarity Movement and has been involved in lots of community service ventures.

The President of NIDO, New York Chapter and the Eastern District Coordinator, Hon. Bobby Digital Olise, alongside the NIDO New Jersey chapter president, Dr Adeola Popoola was present at the occasion. NIDO former official and a renowned promotions and entertainment expert, Olamide Davis Talabi was also present. Anchoring the event was the mega M.C and NIDO publicity Secretary, Prince Anozie Ugenyi.

Representing The We4We Foundation, We4We Media and Pinnacle Films was Val Frakas Mo’Fire Amadi. Vincent “Multiny Yeeye” Anopueme, Obi Okeke (CPA) were also amongst the award recipients for the evening. Friday Val Off or, Ebube Agụ Biafra, a renowned freedom fighter and We4We Media Freedom Anchor was equally there. Hon Okechukwu Achebe, a philosopher, a historian and a super DJ (Dj Chebez) graced the occasion as well. An educator and a music therapist, Emeka Emele (D J Goodnoiz) added some great colors to the event as well.

The City Council spokesperson promised that the City would continue 5o do its best in ensuring that relations with diapers groups remain very close and cordial.

“I was really surprised by this as I never expected it. I was only notified yesterday. Community Service is in born in many of us, I believe. I just do the best I can do whenever I’m able to. If I’m not able to, I always try to find someone else that can. Helping out and assisting others in need is something I think everyone one of us should keep trying to do”, expressed Igwe Nkem. Prince Anozie remarked, “We are always doing our best to identify and appreciate those individuals in our community that are always willing and ready to go the extra mile for others that need help. We appreciate the services rendered by all of our nominees.”
