The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has called on the international community to ignore the death threat made by the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, and monitor the 2019 general elections.
Wike, who spoke on Thursday during the Peoples Democratic Party campaign rally at Ngo, in the Andoni Local Government Area, explained that it was necessary for the international community to monitor the conduct of exercise in order to ensure credible elections.
Wike said, “We want to call on the international community not to be deterred by El-Rufai’s threat. They should monitor the elections. If anybody rigs, they should sanction Nigeria. They should impose sanctions on El-Rufai.”
