Baltasar Ebang Engonga: Equatorial Guinea VP suspend officials involved in sex scandal

The Vice President of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Nguema, has suspended all officials involved in sexual scandal within government offices and ministries.

Nguema disclosed that the government would implement “severe measures” against such conduct.

The Vice President disclosed this via his X page.

The Vice President said the measure was part of a broader policy of zero tolerance towards behaviours that compromise the integrity of public service.

“Today, we will proceed with the immediate suspension of all officials who have had sexual relations in the offices of the country’s ministries.

“The Government will take severe measures against these acts since it constitute a flagrant violation of the Code of Conduct and the Public Ethics Law.

“Ethics and respect are fundamental in our administration, and we will not allow irresponsible behaviour to compromise public trust.

“Responsibility and professionalism must be the pillars of our work as servants of the State.”

This comes amid the sexual scandals involving the Director General of the National Financial Investigation Agency, ANIF, of Equatorial Guinea, Baltasar Ebang Engonga.

Baltasar was caught on tape engaging in sexual intercourse with his brother’s wife, cousin, and sister of the President of Equatorial Guinea.
