Mohammad Atiku-Abubakar, son of a former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has tested negative for the second time for coronavirus.

Atiku’s Media Adviser, Mr Paul Ibe, on Monday confirmed to our correspondent in Abuja that Mohammed had eventually tested negative for the second time for COVID-19.

He said they are anxiously waiting for his discharge.

Ibe said, “I am aware that he (Mohammed) has eventually tested negative for the second time, a necessary requirement for the discharge of COVID-19 patient.

“We are anxiously looking forward to the prospect of his eventual release.”

Atiku had on March 22, in his verified personal twitter handle@atiku, said his son had tested positive for coronavirus.

He had said, “My son has tested positive for coronavirus. @NCDCGov has been duly informed and he has been moved to Gwagwalada Specialist Teaching Hospital in Abuja for treatment and management. I will appreciate it if you have him in your prayers. Stay safe, coronavirus is real.”
