Buhari’s Chief Of Staff, Abba Kyari Tests positive to Covid-19
Alhaji Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to the President of Nigeria, has tested positive to the Novel Corona Virus. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 40 and 2 confirmed death, according to the NCDC
Abba Kyari was born on the 17th of November 1938, making him 81 years old and his family and friends are worried especially given that the Corona virus pandemic has been disproportionately affecting the elderly more than the younger people.
A source said of Abba Kyari, “He’s 81 years old, has diabetes and other conditions that don’t fair too well in the face of the Covid-19 virus infection”
Arise News reported earlier that the president, Muhammadu Buhari tested negative to the virus. There are other unconfirmed reports that the first Lady, Aisha Buhari and some of the president’s children are in self isolation and being tested frequently for the Corona Virus after recent exposures to some people who had arrived from the U.K and suspected of having the virus.
The Covic-19 virus infection is currently listed as a pandemic. With over 300,000 infected, the global death toll from it stands at about 15000.
