Lagos records 32 new COVID-19 infections, total now 283

This brings the total number of infections in the state to 283.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control made this known on Friday night via its Twitter handle.

“As at 10:10 pm 17th April there are 493 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported in Nigeria,” it announced, adding that a total of 159 recoveries have been made while 17 deaths have been recorded, unfortunately.

Of its 283 infections, Lagos has recorded 10 deaths, the highest in the country.

A total of 90 recoveries had, however, been reported in the state while two cases have been evacuated and three transferred.

 

 

The state has been on lockdown for over two weeks now, one which was extended by President Muhammadu Buhari for another two weeks, as part of measures to curb the spread of the pandemic in the state.
