The Independent National Electoral Commission has fixed Saturday, March 14, for the by-election in three constituencies, following the deaths of some members of the national and state houses of assembly.
The affected constituencies are Magama/Rijau Federal Constituency of Niger State, Patigi State Constituency of Kwara State and Kebbe State Constituency of Sokoto State.
This was contained in a statement issued by the INEC National Commissioner and Chairman of its Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye.
Okoye said, “On February 6, 2020, the Independent National Electoral Commission fixed Saturday, March 14, 2020 for the conduct of by-elections in three constituencies, following the deaths of some serving members of the national and state assemblies.”
