Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has charged the All Progressives Congress, APC, to be careful not to explode like the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Mohammed said the APC needs to watch its back after its primary elections to avoid a collapse similar to the PDP.
He spoke while addressing journalists after a closed-door meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The governor, who has been at loggerheads with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) over leadership positions in the PDP, said he doesn’t feel lonely in the party.
He said: “The APC will need to watch their backs after the primaries, as they are growing larger, much like the PDP.
“The PDP expanded and ultimately exploded, not imploded.
“I do not feel lonely because I understand my state, and my intention is to stay back and observe how elections are won at the polling booth. Elections are won locally, not nationally.”
