Six southern governors, three deputies arrive Ogun for strategic meeting

The River State governor, Siminalayi Fubara, his Abuja state counterpart, Alex Otti, Biodun Oyebamiji of Ekiti among others, have arrived at the private residence of the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun in Iperu Remo, for the Southern Governors’ Forum meeting slated for Wednesday.

Others present as at the time of filing this report include Governor Francis Nwifiru of Ebonyi State, Peter Mbah of Enugu and Charles Soludo of Anambra State.

Deputy governors who have also arrived the venue of the meeting are Kola Adewusi of Osun State, Oyo State Bayo Lawal and Peter Odey of Cross River State.

We had reported that the 17 governors from the southern part of the country, are to hold a strategic meeting “to deliberate on pressing national issues”.

According to a statement by the Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Ogun State, there will also be a joint engagement with the Southern Traditional Rulers Council at 1:00 p.m today.
