Late Chief Sir Okey Achebe heavily Memorialized in New Jersey USA March 30, 2024

Chief Sir Okechukwu Ọbụmneme (D.J Chebez) Achebe, the “NnabụEnyi” N’Ogidi gets memorialized massively in New Jersey USA on March 30, 2024 by loved ones, friends and family.

Okey Achebe, a Knight Of St. Christopher of the Anglican Communion, a very versed philosopher, a top level public servant of the State Of New Jersey, a People’s advocate, a servant leader and a Celebrity DJ is rememberd by friends, loved ones and well wishers in what marks the last rememberance of him by the African diaspora community in the USA. He was born on August 7, 1959. He passed on December 27, 2024 in New Jersey, USA. He was a very strong and integral member of the African Diaspora community in the USA and was very responsive to the needs of others.

The circulated program of events states that there would be a public viewing on the 30th of May 2024, Starting at 2 pm. The Venue is Shooks Funeral Home, 486 Compton Av, Cedar Grove, New Jersey.

The viewing is followed by a ‘Celebration Of Life’ event in his honor at the Holiday Inn Ballroom, 160 Frontage Road, Newark, NJ starting at 7 pm. The Anglican Communion (worldwide), the Igbo Solidarity Movement, the Ogidi in North America Association and various other groups that he either belonged to or supported would be in full representation. He is survived by his wife, Dr Lọlọ Chinelo Achebe, 3 young children, a host of loved.ones.

The funeral program would be moved to his hometown of Ogidi, Anambra State, Nigeria with an interment on Thursday, April 11, 2024. May his Soul Rest In Peace. Amen.

Very moving Tributes in his honor have been coming in from far and wide in his memory.. Mr Uzochukwu wrote, “He was so calm and generous. He would listen to anybody at anytime and always was ready to order solutions to people’s problems. He would surely be missed..”. Michelle Barkley wrote, “He once helped me with a case at his job and I was so relieved with the professionalism with which he was able to help. Big surprise came when I saw him deejaying at a friend’s party over the weekend of the same week. He was very good. We danced and danced and danced.. He would surely rest in peace. He was a good man…”
