Former Premier League star Danny Murphy has said that Chelsea are ‘blessed’ to have Malo Gusto in their squad.
Gusto was the unlikely ‘star of the show’ in the Blues’ emphatic win over David Moyes’s side. Chelsea returned to winning ways on Saturday after failing to do so in four consecutive matches.
Gusto provided the assist for Cole Palmer’s opening goal and later scored himself to make it 2-0 for the west London side.
The victory moved Chelsea back into fourth place in the Premier League, with Murphy highlighting right-back Gusto as the ‘star of the show’.
“It was a huge win after recent results,” Murphy said on BBC’s Match of the Day.
“There have been a few hiccups but that’s a big result and the star of the show was probably not someone we would have predicted in Malo Gusto.
“What an amazing performance. They are blessed to have two players who can both play right back and midfield at the same time. He’s got an incredible array of passes in his locker.”
