EPL: Arsenal look to go 7 points clear of Manchester City with Wolves clash

On Wednesday, Arsenal travel to Wolves, for a rescheduled Premier League fixture.

This means they will have a game in hand over Manchester City for a couple of weeks.

City’s league game against Crystal Palace could not be fixed for this week as Oliver Glasner’s men play in the UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday.

Arsenal kick off the match at the Molineux, sitting four points clear of Pep Guardiola’s team.

If they take maximum points, the Gunners will open a seven-point gap at the top of the table.

However, Mikel Arteta is well aware that it will not be a straightforward affair, especially with how the reverse fixture played out at the Emirates.

Arsenal failed to break down Wolves and depended on two own goals to win 2-1 in a tense encounter.

But this is a chance to record a statement result and put the pressure back on City, something they have not done in recent weeks.
