Former France striker, Thierry Henry, has claimed “a lot of people” don’t want Arsenal to win the Premier League title this season.
With just seven matches left to play, Mikel Arteta’s men sit nine points clear of Manchester City.
The Gunners more than ever look increasingly likely to end their 22-year drought.
But Henry, speaking on Monday Night Football, insisted that his former team does not enjoy popular support.
“I wanted them (Liverpool) to win the league because I wanted Jamie (Carragher) to win the league, Stevie G (Steven Gerrard) to win the league, Henry said.
“Whether I like Liverpool or not, you root for the underdog, the team that couldn’t do it, or failed to win the league. (But) a lot of people don’t want Arsenal to win the league.”
