Super Eagles can’t afford to miss out on another World Cup – Iwobi

Alex Iwobi says the Super Eagles will give their best to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, DAILY POST reports.

The three-time African champions failed to qualify for the last edition of the global soccer fiesta hosted by Qatar.

The Super Eagles are still battling to secure a berth at the 2026 World Cup finals which will be co-hosted by Mexico Canada and United States of America.

Eric Chelle’s side will take on the Panthers of Gabon in the semi-final of the playoffs on Thursday (today)

Iwobi hopes they will eventually navigate their way through the playoffs, and make it to the mundial.

“Hopefully we win and get the result we want because the World Cup is the biggest competition and it would be a shame if Nigeria don’t go and it’s only right that we give our best and try and show Nigerians we are there,” he told Sporty TV.
