Manchester United legend, Wayne Rooney has named the best signing of the season in the Premier League.
Several players including Florian Wirtz, Alexander Isak and Granit Xhaka joined different Premier League clubs during the summer transfer window.
But according to Rooney, Xhaka’s summer move to Sunderland was the best signing of the English top-flight league season.
“Granit Xhaka has been fantastic,” Rooney said on his BBC podcast.
“He has never been the quickest but he is got that experience to just manage the game.
“He is shown what a good player he is. He is probably been the signing of the season, he’s been that brilliant.”
