THE PROMISE NIGERIANS MUST DEMAND IN THE 2027 GENERAL ELECTION

As we move toward the 2027 general elections, one issue must dominate every campaign stage, town hall, and political debate:
How will you, as a candidate, confront and end the terror, killings, rapes, and displacement caused by Fulani herdsmen across indigenous communities in Nigeria?
This is not just a security issue; it’s a humanitarian crisis. From Benue to Enugu, Plateau to Ogun, thousands of Nigerians have been killed, women brutalized, and ancestral homes burned to the ground—yet the response has been silence, denial, and political cowardice.
In 2027, Nigerians must reject vague rhetoric. We must demand concrete action.
Every serious candidate must present a clear plan that includes:
1. Declaring Violent Fulani Herdsmen as Terrorists – and treating them as such under the law, without tribal or religious sentiments.
2. Empowering State and Community Policing – so that locals can defend their lands and families legally and effectively.
3. Reparations and Resettlement Programs – to restore dignity to displaced people and rebuild shattered communities.
4. Full Implementation of Ranching Policies – outlaw open grazing nationwide and invest in modern livestock management.
5. Accountability for Complicity – government officials or security agents who shield or enable these crimes must face the law.
The 2027 elections must not be about promises of roads, jobs, and power alone. What use is electricity if your home has been burnt down? What good is a job if you are constantly running for your life?
Let every campaign banner carry this challenge: What will you do about Fulani herdsmen killings?
If they have no real answer, they do not deserve your vote.
This is not politics—it’s survival.
