Former Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has called on residents of Zamfara State to join the African Democratic Congress, ADC, as part of efforts to tackle security and economic challenges in the state and the country.
El-Rufai made the appeal while addressing a gathering of ADC supporters in Gusau on Sunday, noting that the party has plans to improve security, the economy, and food supply in Zamfara.
He urged party members to maintain unity and avoid sabotage, and encouraged collaboration with youths and women’s groups to promote awareness of ADC’s activities at the grassroots level. He also advised voters to prepare their Permanent Voter’s Cards, PVCs, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The ADC’s Deputy National Organising Secretary, Abubakar Atiku, said the visit of El-Rufai would strengthen the party’s efforts to maintain stability and cooperation among its members in the state.
State ADC Chairman, Alhaji Kabiru Garba, added that participants at the event included youths and women from all 14 local government areas of Zamfara, emphasizing that the party continues to grow and attract new members.
The event drew local politicians, Islamic scholars and other community stakeholders.
