2026 WCQ: Super Eagles must beat Lesotho, Benin – Ndidi

Besiktas midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has said it is important for the Super Eagles to win their upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin Republic.

The Super Eagles sit in third position in Group C with 11 points from eight games.

Eric Chelle’s side are three points adrift of joint leaders Benin Republic and South Africa.

They must win their last two games and hope Benin and South Africa slip to seal a place at the mundial.

Ndidi stated that securing maximum points from the two games is crucial for the team.

“We know where we are at the moment,” he said in an interview with the Super Eagles media.

“These two games are very crucial. First of all, we focus on the Lesotho one and then we look towards the Benin one, but the most important now is the Lesotho one.”
