We4We Foundation/Val Amadi Foundation held a mega Charity event dubbed “SPECIAL DAY OF SERVICE” in Owerri, Imo State.

 

 

Activities included a medical Outreach/Clinic, Food items disstribution, School Supplies/scholarships to students, poverty alleviation schemes & a clothing drive for the needy and less privileged .

It was a mega Charity fest as We4We Foundation and Val Amadi foundation had a “Day of Service” event in Nekede, Owerri West LGA.

Activities of the day included a medical outreach program that conducted medical tests and patients mapping, prescribed and provided assistance for needed drugs, nutrition guides and medical follow ups. There were unveiling of several poverty alleviation schemes for the youth and needy adults. Food items were also distributed to the the entire community. Clothings were handed out to the poor and to students. School supplies and scholarship awards were given out to students. A clothing drive was also conducted to assist the needy and less privileged.

The founder of We4We foundation/Val Amadi Foundation And We4We Media, Val Frakas Mo’Fire Amadi was on hand to help distribute the items to the people. He stressed the need for more people to get “involved in helping one another”. He said “we must all try to be one another’s brother’s keeper and by so doing we shall create a more responsive society that translates into a stronger and healthier society”… He dedicated the event to the memory of his late father, Nze Thompson C.K (T.C.K) Amadi, a Known altruist and philanthropist. “The spirit of my dad lives on in us all. He was very altruistic, a known cheerful giver and a people’s servant. We are merely continuing and carrying on his legacy and we want more people to get involved in charitable activities so we can have a much stronger society”, he further stated.

Present and assisting in the distribution of materials and engaging directly with the people of the community were Celia Ugochi Osakwe-Hibbert, a councillor in WolverHampton, United Kingdom and currently an advisor of the Imo State Government on Diaspora affairs. It was an instant love affair between her and the community as she carried and cared for babies, helped distribute food items to the needy, helped in sharing school supplies for students, assisted in short distance ambulation of some women and men to the medical treatment section at the event, speaking to and advising the people on the need for empowerment, amongst other endearing gestures from her. She said that she was just “happy to be a part of such an event and excited that the people were able to come out and get much needed help”. During her thunderous and captivating speech, she stressed the need for the people “to demand for better treatment by the government”. A community Youth leader and a distinguished attorney, Bar George Bush Amadi said he’s glad the community finally has “someone with a very approachable personality to work with on a range of issues..”.


Mr Ismail Roz, a construction Expert and a philanthropist was equally on hand to assist in various activities of the day.
