
Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA, in collaboration with personnel of the Nigerian Navy Special Boat Service (NN SBS), have arrested three suspected Lakurawa terrorist informants and logistics suppliers in Kebbi State.
The development was contained in a post shared on Friday by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, via his X handle.
According to Makama, the suspects were arrested at about 10:45 a.m. on Monday, July 21, during an intelligence-led operation conducted by troops of the Combat Service Intelligence Brigade (CSIB) VII deployed at Kangiwa Village in Arewa Local Government Area of the state.
Makama, citing security sources, said the three suspects were believed to be serving as informants and logistics suppliers for members of the Lakurawa terrorist group operating within the area.
He added that the suspects have been handed over to the Nigeria Police Division in Kangiwa for further investigation and possible prosecution.
According to the security sources, the operation forms part of sustained intelligence-driven efforts to dismantle the support networks sustaining terrorist groups, including their informants and logistics suppliers, across the North-West
