Female ref for UEFA Super Cup

Stephanie Frappart will be the referee for the European Super Cup between Liverpool and Chelsea, the first woman to officiate a UEFA men’s game.

The game will be played at the Besiktas Park in Istanbul on August 14.

It is a tournament between the winners of the Champions League and Europa League.

The announcement from UEFA makes history, as the 35-year-old French official recently blew the whistle for the Women’s World Cup Final between the United States and the Netherlands.

She is already the first female referee in Ligue 1, as in April she was in charge when Amiens and Strasbourg faced off.

However, this is the first time a woman will officiate a competitive men’s match organised by UEFA.

Frappart will not be alone, as she’s accompanied by assistants Manuela Nicolosi (France) and Michelle O’Neal (Republic of Ireland).

The fourth official will be Turkey’s Cuneyt Cakir.

  1. Your idea is outstanding; the issue is something that not enough persons are speaking intelligently about. I’m very happy that I stumbled throughout this in my seek for one thing regarding this.
