Eagles get $2m for semi-final finish

The Super Eagles and Tunisia’s Carthage Eagles were rewarded with $2m by the Confederation of Africa Football for reaching the semi-finals of the just-concluded AFCON in Egypt.

Champions Algeria received $4.5m while runners-up Senegal got 42.5m.

All the quarter-finalists received $800,000 each while the third-placed teams in each group got $575,000. The fourth-placed teams got $475,000
