Atiku, Ezekwesili mourn activist, Nwabia

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the February 23, 2019 election, Atiku Abubakar, on Sunday described the death of a political activist, Mr Stanley Nwabia, as sorrowful.

Nwabia, who is a popular social commentator on Twitter, was said to have died in the early hours of Sunday following an unsuccessful blood transfusion procedure in Lagos.

The social commentator, aged 43, was a native of Abia State but was born in Lagos.

He was also an ardent critic of President Muhammadu Buhari and the ruling All Progressives Congress. Atiku, Nigeria’s former Vice-President, on his Twitter handle:  @atiku, said Nwabia was a patriotic Nigerian.

He twetted, “It is a cause for sobering emotions to read about the sudden demise of @MrStanleyNwabia. A patriotic Nigerian and a forthright supporter of our great party.

Also a former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, on her Twitter handle: @obyezeks said Nwabia’s death was sad.
